A Large TWX300RIII36V Type Added to the Low-Floor Hybrid Type Vertical Injection Molding Machine TWX-RIII Series Lineup

• TWX is one of the best-selling mid-to-large size hybrid type vertical injection molding machine series, widely used for many insert molding applications, such as automotive and electronics parts industries. It is equipped with a new compound type clamping mechanism and offers low-height structures throughout the machine. The TWX-RIII Series of hybrid type vertical injection molding machines has been offering one of the industry’s lowest machine heights since its debut. Nissei Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd., just added a large TWX300RIII36V type with 2,942kN (300ton) clamping force to the TWX-RIII Series lineup.
  
  The most notable feature of this machine is the compound type clamping mechanism that materializes machines into smaller sizes. It consists of a high-speed cylinder, high-pressure clamping cylinder, and half-nut mechanism, which replace a conventional type cylinder that controls both high-speed clamping and high-pressure clamping with one clamping cylinder. Because of this new mechanism, the mold mounting height is lowered to 1,000mm throughout the lineup (about 30% lower than the conventional machines). It makes mold installation/setup, insert, and product takeout as well as robot placement and maintenance easier than ever before.
  The overall machine height is about 10% lower, offering excellent flexibility for the installation space (height). In case of starting up a new factory, it can also save building cost since it does not require high ceiling.

  Other features:
  1. It is equipped with a direct-pressure type clamping mechanism that evenly transmits clamping force. It is resistant to temperature change, generating consistent clamping force according to the setting. Setting optimal (low) clamping force, which is gentle to the mold, is easy, and its simple and clean mechanism maintains the machine precision for a long time. It also offers superior low-pressure mold protection performance, which detects foreign objects during mold open/close, preventing mold damage from the misalignment of insert workpieces.
  2. Amount of the required hydraulic oil amount is reduced by 52%, thanks to the new compound type clamping mechanism (saving resources and cost).
  3. Its optimized bed structure permits flexible robot layout. It can easily be adapted into automated systems with takeout robot, articulated robot, and two-arm robot ideal for different molded products and molding processes. Its design permits easy conversion to 3-stage mold mounting face.
  4. It is equipped with a 3-tie-bar wide turntable and wide daylight opening, accommodating more complex and larger molds (modularization of automotive parts for EV and HV) as well as giving capability in using molds with more cavities.
  5. Turntable rotation and ejector motion are driven by servomotor, achieving faster cycle, smooth mechanical motion, and high rotation stop precision. It can prevent the misalignment of the inserts.
  
  Features of “TACT IV” controller:
  1. 15-inch color LCD touch panel screen can arrange two windows vertically, materializing superior visibility and operability.
  2. It offers improved quality/production management by making operation history and monitor data search easy as well as enriching the maintenance function.
  3. Its fast 500µs control cycles can benefit smaller volume precision molding.
  4. 6-language (Japanese, English, Chinese, Spanish, Korean and Thai) display capability comes standard.
  5. LAN and USB ports come standard.
  
  Two types are available for the lineup: "TWX220RIII25V," which was released in April 2019 and the newly added "TWX300RIII36V," which are now available for ordering.
  "TWX220RIII25V," which was released prior has been receiving high reviews for its groundbreaking compact design as a vertical machine, and its orders have been steadily increasing.
