Electric Type and Hybrid Type Injection Molding Machines on Exhibit at “DMP 2016”

  • NISSEI PLASTIC INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. will be exhibiting at the “18th DMP China Dongguan International Plastics & Packaging Exhibition (DMP2016)” in Dongguan, China, from November 29th to December 2nd. NISSEI will bring two injection molding machines, one electric and one hybrid, to promote automated systems for automotive industry, which is a cornerstone of the Chinese economy. NISSEI will also demonstrate high-stability precision molding for the electronic connector industry, which currently has a great need for higher quality production.

    As one of the production capitals of the world, China requires a change in their business strategy to provide high quality and high value-added products due to ever-increasing labor costs. In light of increasing environmental awareness, NISSEI has reinforced their environmental measures at the production facility since June, thereby changing “China quality” to “world-leading level of quality, energy efficiency, and environmental friendliness.”

    NISSEI is aiming to penetrate the markets by showcasing their hybrid type machine, which is highly-reputed for automotive parts insert molding, as well as exhibiting Taicang factory-made NEX machine to bring solutions to above circumstances.

    Demonstration Machines
    I. All-Electric Type Injection Molding Machine “NEX80IIIT-5E”
    This is a Taicang factory-made “NEX-IIIT Series” with a 784kN (80ton) clamping force.
    Twelve-cavity high-stability molding of connectors will be demonstrated, targeting the connector and electronic component parts industries, which require high-precision.
    High-precision metering control “Pre Pack” is a standard feature that comes with NISSEI electric type injection molding machines. Pass/fail test of the molded product by weight will be conducted for “Pre Pack” on state and off state to prove the effect of “Pre Pack.”

    Features:
    1) Adopting low inertia servomotor and NISSEI original injection unit produces higher injection velocity, response and pressure. Optimizing the barrel temperature control materializes higher injection/plasticization precision and wider moldable range.
    2) The high-precision metering control improves yield.
    3) “Linear Pressure Toggle,” which utilizes the advantages of toggle mechanism (high cycle properties, etc.) and possesses the characteristics similar to the straight-hydraulic clamping system, is materialized. This mechanism offers “automatic clamping force adjustment” function and “direct clamping force setting” as standard features. “Automatic clamping force adjustment” automatically adjusts clamping force fluctuations caused by rising mold temperature during automatic run, and “direct clamping force setting” permits changing clamping force setting during automatic run.
    4) It is equipped with a high-performance controller “TACT IV.”
    - Sheet switch type is used for the operation panel, offering smooth setting entry by the high-response and high-resolution touch panel.
    - 15-inch vertically long LCD display can arrange two windows vertically, materializing superior visibility and operability.
    - New features, such as the SET-UP screen and display of the adjuster descriptions, materialize user-friendly operation, ensure reliability, and allow saving of prep time from mounting of mold to staring of mass production.
    - It offers improved quality/production management by making operation history and monitor data search easy as well as enriching the maintenance function.

    II. Hybrid Type Vertical Injection Molding Machine “TNX100RIII18V”
    This is an X-Pump equipped hybrid type vertical injection molding machine “TNX Series” with a 1026kN (100ton) clamping force, which targets Chinese automotive parts industry. Since NISSEI predicts that more factories will be implementing automations due to ever increasing labor cost, insert molding of shroud (automotive cooling fan cover) will be demonstrated as an example for automated labor-saving system using robots (cut workpiece, insert, takeout, inspect, and takeout the finished product).
    TNX Series is equipped with an innovative energy-efficient, high-response hybrid pump system, “X-Pump.” A 50-ton clamping force TNX50R consumes about 70% less energy and 25% less hydraulic oil compared to the conventional hydraulic machines. The clamping unit uses a turntable type (rotary) direct pressure clamping device, and it possesses performance superior to the toggle types, such as its even contact pressure, mold open/close linearity, clamping force accuracy, clamping precision sustainability, and excellent mold protection performance.

    Other features:
    1) Turntable and ejectors are servo-driven, materializing shorter cycle, smooth mechanical motion, and accurate rotation stop precision. This can prevent the misalignment of insert work pieces.
    2) It is equipped with a 3-tie bar wide turntable and can accommodate larger mold due to the intricate shape of the products or mold with a slide core. In addition, wider work area is secured, providing better workability/operability for mold setup and insertion, and it flexibly accommodates automated systems, such as a robot.
    3) It is equipped with a high-performance controller “TACT IV.”
