History

NISSEI has always been willing to venture into new territories…

In the specialized filed of injection molding, NISSEI’s founder Katashi Aoki applied his experience in understanding the needs of factory floors, which are the heart of molding businesses, into designing injection molding machines. NISSEI has been carrying the torch of Aoki’s aspiration to dig deeper and push the envelope in utilizing its technologies for a wide variety of applications. NISSEI continues to innovate injection molding technologies for the global market with its founding spirit.

  • 1947

    NISSEI’s founder Katashi Aoki returned from Manchuria after the World War II and established a plastic processing business in his hometown Sakaki.

  • 1957

    NISSEI PLASTIC SEISAKUSHO re-incorporated as NISSEI PLASTIC INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. The first model YD-2 developed and its sales started.

  • 1960

    AU-1 type, NISSEI’s first machine to be exported, shipped to the US.

  • 1961

    The rotary ram type in-line screw injection mechanism, one of the most important NISSEI's patented mechanisms still widely used throughout the world today, developed.

  • 1962

    Vertical injection molding machine TN-25B type developed.

  • 1964

    2-color injection molding machine DC type developed.

  • 1967

    The world’s first injection blow molding machine IB-M developed.

  • 1968

    NISSEI School opened.

  • 1970

    Micro precision molding machine PS type developed.

  • 1971

    • ・Low-noise injection molding machine FS-75 type developed, wining the 3rd Annual Plastics Grand Prize.
    • ・Super large injection molding machine ULV-1 completed.
    • ・Low-noise injection molding machine (FS type) developed to solve noise pollution issues.
  • 1975

    Japan Plastics Machinery Association established. Katashi Aoki appointed as the association’s first Chairman.

  • 1979

    Head Office Technical Center Established.

  • 1980

    Energy-efficient hydraulic control system SSE System (SE Series) developed.

  • 1983

    The world's first electric servomotor driven injection molding machine MM-5 developed.

  • 1986

    FP (Flexible Product) System developed.

  • 1988

    High-performance general-purpose injection molding machine FE Series developed.

  • 1991

    Listed on the Second Section of the Nagoya Stock Exchange.

  • 1992

    UH1000, ultra high-speed filling injection molding machine with the maximum injection velocity of 1,000 mm/s, developed.

  • 1993

    Tabletop type compact injection molding machine HM7 type developed.

  • 1995

    High-performance general-purpose horizontal injection molding machine FN Series developed.

  • 1996

    ISO 9001 certification acquired.
    Low-cost large injection molding machine FV9200, all-electric injection molding machine ELJECT Series, and multi-material injection molding machine DC type with the new clamping unit developed.

  • 1999

    ISO 14001 certification acquired.

  • 2000

    Listed on the second section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Magnesium alloy injection molding machine FMg3000 Developed.

  • 2001

    Listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and reassigned to the first section of the Nagoya Stock Exchange. Hozumi Yoda appointed as President and Representative Director.

  • 2002

    High-performance all-electric horizontal injection molding machine NEX Series developed.

  • 2005

    Hybrid type injection molding machine PNX Series equipped with the X-Pump System, which achieves super energy-efficient performance and high response, developed.

  • 2006

    Hybrid type injection molding machine FNX Series equipped with the X-Pump System developed.

  • 2008

    Small general purpose NPX7 type, vertical TNX Series, and large FVX Series injection molding machines equipped with the X-Pump System developed.

  • 2009

    NISSEI PLASTIC MACHINERY (TAICANG) CO., LTD. established as NISSEI’s first overseas production subsidiary in China. All-electric molding machine NEX-T Series, the first machine series manufactured overseas, developed.

  • 2010

    Injection molding system N-PLAjet, which processes plant-based PLA (polylactic acid) material, developed.

  • 2011

    NEX-Ⅲ Series, the third generation of all-electric NEX Series, developed.

  • 2012

    Overseas production subsidiary NISSEI PLASTIC MACHINERY (THAILAND) CO., LTD. established in Thailand.

  • 2013

    • ・Parts manufacturing subsidiary NISSEI METAL WORKS CO., LTD. established in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture.
    • ・PNX-Ⅲ and FNX-Ⅲ Series, the third generation of hybrid PNX and FNX Series, developed. Production of FNX-Ⅲ Series started at NISSEI Thailand factory.
  • 2014

    Sales Promotion Section 1 (now called Sales Promotion Department) opened in central Tokyo as a global sales base.
    Large hybrid type injection molding machine FVX-Ⅲ Series developed.

  • 2015

    The second factory of NISSEI PLASTIC MACHINERY (TAICANG) CO., LTD. opened and ISO 9001 certification acquired.

  • 2016

    NEX-Ⅳ Series, the forth generation of all-electric NEX Series, developed.

  • 2017

    NISSEI HOMMA MACHINERY CO., LTD. established in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture.

  • 2019

    Low-floor type vertical hybrid injection molding machine TWX220R developed.

  • 2020

    • ・NEGRI BOSSI S.P.A., an Italian injection molding machine manufacturer, acquired as a consolidated subsidiary. Five-region global production structure established.
    • ・300-ton type added to the low-floor type vertical hybrid injection molding machine TWX Series.
  • 2021

    Orders for ultra-large hybrid injection molding machine FWX2050Ⅲ-1100L type started.

  • 2022

    • ・NISSEI’s second Chinese production subsidiary NISSEI PLASTIC MACHINERY (HAIYAN) CO., LTD. established in Zhejiang.
    • ・Orders for hybrid type mid-size injection molding machine FWX760Ⅲ-130BK for thermoset resins started.
  • 2023

    Orders for new hybrid type mid-size injection molding machine FWX Series started.
